Ok im a pretty kind of experimented street racer last sunday i decided to go legal for the firts time at the track. And first round got beat by a freaking suv this is the slip: is awful considering my mods

ON this race i beat a 2002 acura RSX type s he did a 17.000
I dont even know at what point i was shifting or launching i was just driving, what are the tricks for AWD launching. When i race in the street i just go like a bullet from the hole

No offense man but those runs are absolutly HORRID for the mods you have, a totally stock car will run faster than that.

Maybe give a little more Info like what RPMs you launch and shift at....Also does your car feel like its running right?? maybe you have a boost leak or sumthing??

After i finish my 3rd run i notice that my bov return tube wasnt fully inserted it on my injen intake pipe, dont know for sure if that make a leak there. And in my 4 run i just got the worst launch i couldnt tell if it was that.

I was so dissapointed i was about to give my keys to someone else and let them drive it for me to se where am really standing, I was expecting low 14.

also, you are not launching. launching awd is easy. rev to 5000, dump clutch.

Your 60' times are pretty bad. Gotta get them RPMs up and fast-slip keeping the RPMs in the 5K range on launch. Should be able to get 1.8-2.0 which will make a bigger diff in ET at the end of the 1/4.

Holy sh!t. A 2.6 60 foot????? I'm very confused here. I have an automatic GSX and I pulled 2.1 and 2.2s bone stock and ran 14.90s bone stock. I think something is wrong with your car and you're not launching the car at all. Try the 5 grand dump then work on slipping it as you get more practice. Holy sh!t.

I think that exactly what it is in all my launches i got MAD bogging and wheel hop, i thougt i can have a good launch at 4k rpm

How exactly do you bog AND wheel hop at the same time? Out of sheer curiousity.

A 2.4 to 2.6 short time is dismal. Hell I think my 1.85's are bad. It seems like there is something wrong with the car and the nut behind the wheel. You should be at least in the 1.90-2.00 range for short times and that is if you take it real easy and slip the clutch like a Mofo.


Also that MPH indicates that there is a LOT more tuning needed with the car. I am curious thought. According to your mod list, you have 3" downpipe and a 2.5" catback. Why? And you also have no listing of any sort of fuel controller. Just a Joe P BC and a Big T28. What boost level are you running at and how are you tuning it? Or did you just throw lots of parts at the car and expect it to run super fast?

Those are horrible times, no offense but you SUCK at driving, the damn lauch is BAD, really BAD, with a stock clutch I have done 1.797 60 foot, but I get in average 1.8.

With your setup you show be close to 12's, you should be smoking everything that's street driven.

Lauch the damn car at least at 5500RPM anything less than that and you will bog of the light.

I have no mercy for my car, I launch at 5500RPM +, and only shift at 7300RPM, maybe that's why I have a 13.8 time slip with just basic bolt on's and a stock turbo.

Thats what i thought i lunched around 4k rpm and it bog. I got a 2.5" exhaust cause at the time didnt got the dough for the 3 incher, the DP came after.Im running 15 psi it hold for 3 seconds and drops to 11 on stock fuel system im installing a walbro 190lph soon. Im on stock o2 housing i think that dont help and i dont seem to find a good deal on one.

BTW you right vinnie is NOT the car is the driver in this case i took it easy with it, my daily driver so i gotta be careful also i was 90 miles from home bad place for car to break ang get it tow,i get AAA and race it harder so i can get peace of mind at least

You have alot of problems. First of all I can understand taking it easy on your daily driver but it's almost impossible to drive it that slow unless your just not pushing the gas to the floor. Your trap speeds indicate a big problem with the car. Are you sure your turbo is a big 28 because you shouldn't loose boost after 3 sec. That has absolutly nothing to do with your feul system. I almost want to throw up the BS flag on this one. I had a 97 gst with a big 28 and supporting mods and I ran 14.0 @100mph at 11psi. So either your full of crap or you've got MAJOR issues with your engine. At this point feul mods won't even help you because your not running enough boost to need them. I suggest fixing your car before you spend another nickle on it.

My car engine is ok trust me the car got power, I know this is incredible stupid i never thought i was going to do that bad, but yeah i didnt launch good and i did went 100 WOT. MAx i did like 80 WOT. Im telling is bad i cant even sleep at night since.

while it is true that you suck at driving or racing. Don't be fooled by a certain type of vehicle. ANYTHING can be made fast. Example there is a Jeep cherokee that ran an 8.063 in the 1/8th here in charlotte. That's pretty fast. N2O can do some bad azz shit. although the motor might not last too long it is still fast.

Well Mr Pro Wannabe is not the same street racing than on the track, And if you read the thread from the beginning i beat a 2002 RSX type-s and a 79 camaro v8 they both did 17.00 So it was a weird night maybe the track clock was damage who knows.Also i was 90 miles away Shit head with no coverage my goal was to drive mild and at least get low 14.

I don't think the clock was damaged though. I'll bet your friend at the end with his stop watch wasn't paying attention when you passed and stopped the clock late. I'm glad that's strait now. like a mention i drive the card mild to achieve low 14 i didnt beat on it. Your right I haven't been to the track with my laser (since I'm putting the engine in today). My mom didn't buy my car either she stopped buying me stuff when I moved out about 6 years ago. I may not have the greatest driving skills but hell I still pulled a 2.2 60' with my fwd. So I guess that makes you horrible since you've got awd. You shouldn't even own a car like that. It's people like you that give DSMs a bad name. Trade it in and get a Civic DX with a fart pipe and an intake and you'll be set. See ya later ricer boy:laugh:
