well i think i did alright for my first time and the mods i have i was boosting at 13psi it was 100 degrees and the track is known for being shitty so heres my times 1st run i did a 14.8 at 97mph 2.4 60ft .144 reaction. 2nd run i did 14.7 at 94mph 2.2 60ft .224 reaction 3rd run i did 14.5 at 96mph 2.1 60ft .005 reaction. these were all done on balding tires at 100 degrees with much heat soak and 91 octane 1000ft elevation and stock exhaust. traction was O.K. as im used to feathering the clutch through 1st gear to put the tires on their breakaway point sometimes they may have squealed a bit but it was ok i always hooked up perfectly in 2nd this is a FWD car. next time i will have my full 3" exhaust 110 octane fuel pump and 17 psi with new drag radials. my friend that usually runs 13.5s with his silvia/240sx best run out of 7 runs that night was a 14.2 as it was very hot.:|

Correct me if I'm wrong, But 95 and up Talons don't come as FWD, they only come as AWD, mmmmmm

A little more practise and you should be in the mid 13's.

lets not forget that fwd people should be pulling a bit better times due to oh lets see 300 pounds. If only us fwd people either learned how to drive or had the ease that you awd people cheerish so much(and we admire) then it would be easier to run those times. Nice run though I only got off a 14.9 with free mods(and the ac on).....but def nice run with slicks and full 3 in exhaust 14 flat....mabey 13.9 would be possible.

It's not only the 300 lb difference that's holding fwd cars back, it's the fwd part. When you launch all the weight shifts to the rear, making you lose traction on the front tires, not amount of "learning how to drive" will solve that, although LSD and locked struts in the rear helps. A properly set up rwd t/e/l would actually be faster than both because of the weight loss and the gain in traction + less rotating mass, but alas, it'll never happen except on the buschurr car.
