had my first time at a track yesterday. i had a great time. i wish i could afford to do that more often.
i had three runs. the first was a warm up just seein how my car worked on a track. the second i shifted slowly but put it right at 7k RPM. the third was an all out no holds barred redline shift as fast as i can. here are the times:

1st
R/T 1.142
60' 2.483
330 7.714
1/8 11.106
MPH 61.26
1000 14.520
1/4 17.422
MPH 76.98

2nd
R/T 1.188
60' 2.640
330 7.691
1/8 11.757
MPH 58.01
1000 15.273
1/4 18.184
MPH 78.22

3rd
R/T 0.896
60' 2.639
330 7.505
1/8 11.459
MPH 61.96
1000 14.854
1/4 17.686
MPH 79.98

well they were all kindof bad. bu i am pleased with them seeing as how it was my first time with a completely stock N/T.
i have a few questions. one is should i lauch right when the 3rd yellow lights up or should i wait a split second? how do i lower my 60' times? is it a lot due to HP or is it driving skill? also are my times average or bad or what? thanks for help!

Did you notice your time got worse as the day went on? I'm no N/T expert but maybe taking it all the way to redline is past the peak of your power curve? Yeah, I would leave as soon as you see the second yellow come on, it takes longer than you think to get out of the hole in FWD. 60' could use some work, but being your first day at the track and all. Horsepower and driver skill play a huge part in your times. Most of it is driver skill. Once you can lay down the same times run after run, then you know have got the most of your car and that it's no longer a driver issue but a lack of horsepower. I'm guessing that if you go more often you could hit a 16.xx with your car the way it is. I have no idea about the times in reference to any other N/T. Oh well, only way to see if your getting faster is going to the track. :thumb: Nice job man.

Yeah, his time was not as good as his first tun, but his mph did go up by 3. Reason why his ET was not as good was because his 60 ft was .15 lower which equates to .3 in the 1/4.

You are right trap speed did go up, leading to the possibility of lower e.t. with a better 60' and driving.

One of the 2g N/T guys should know. Take a look into the N/T Performance section and see if you can find something in there.
