MBC
14B TURBO
HKS INTAKE

Now here are my times on 114 octane @18psi

reaction= .671
60'=2.640
1/4 mile= [email protected]

run#2
reaction=.834
60'= 2.489
1/4 mile= [email protected]

now are these times slow for how fast i am going? From what i have seen most people who have trap times of about 102 mph usually run 13s What do you guys think?

your 60' times are what's killing you...if you can get some drag radials and practice launching, you shouldn't have any problems seeing high 13's...your goal should be a 2.0 60' time...try slipping the clutch a little more...how much boost are you running???a dual stage boost controler may help some too...

18psi on race gas. I have the turboxs high performance boost controller.
What rpm should i launch at? I need to practice launching real bad.

You’re probably spinning like crazy coming off the line…I just put a 16g on my car this weekend and @15psi, I can’t go WOT in first gear without spinning all over the place…you’ll probably have to ride the clutch most of the way out of 1st gear…if you have a stock clutch, it won’t last long doing this…I’d try launching somewhere between 2500 and 3500…every car is different, but you should find what works best for you somewhere between there…if you’re running 18psi off the line you’re probably not going to be able to go WOT all the way through first gear without wheel spin…really, it’s just all about practice and seeing what works best for you

yeah i think a new clutch is coming up on the list of things to buy. I think i may get some drag radials too to make things easier when i go to the track.

It’s to my understanding that they work pretty damn good…only problem I’ve heard about them was from a guy with a high powered fwd…he said when he would heat the slicks up before he went down the track, he could tell that one tire would spin a little more than the other…for the money, I don’t think you can go wrong…I’m sure there are quite a few people on this board that either have phantom grip or bm tranny’s lsd…maybe they can chime in here

no need for drag radials....a 2.4-6 is horrid (no offense). try launching at lower RPM's and feather the clutch/throttle alot thru 1st and 2nd. you should get a 2.2-3 consistently. then from there you will drop a half second or more in the long run...aka low 14's high 13's
