Went to Atco last night with my GSX for the first time. Wasn't expecting much.

Only got 2 runs in. I'll just put in the basics.

1st-
60Ft.- 1.992
990- 12.21
14.6 @ 94.5

2nd-
60Ft.- 1.973
990- 12.0
14.5 @95.1

Mods are - K&N, Hallman MBC @15 psi, 3 inch Exhaust, S-AFC, Supra TT FP, Free mods

And at the track I took off the X and the DOHC Turbo badge so it read Eclipse GS...hahaha

Funny part was that on the 2nd run, My bro told me, the announcer was like " and the eclipse Jumps out and it looks like a 13 sec run for him" oh it was a 14.5, over the loud speaker.....

HUH I know I have a 2g but with similar mods I was only trapping 95's and hitting 14's.

I know it has a 13 in it on a cold day, but the supra side mount should help me out soon.

i was running 14.5@92 all day at SIR (4,000 asl) with intake, mbc, and a clutch.

ofcourse elevation, weather, and driver have alot to do with it.

so that is not a normal time?

Do you think the Supra TT pump is making me run too rich?
The A/F gauge I know is not too acurate but it rarely reads REALL rich

congrats on goin out for the first time. I did the same last fri nite :) Fun stuff, I got lots of runs in (7).

You should be able to go faster for sure. I have only a 3" exhaust, 2g manifold, Brodie uic pipe and 15psi. Thats it, no porting etc. Oh, sorry, K&N, and rewired stock fuel pump.

And I ran a best of 14.0 and a best mph of 99. And I apparently cannot drive, as on the 14.0 run I missed 4th gear, and my 60' times were consistently over 2.0 seconds, some as bad as 2.5 :( So apparently my car is good enough for high 13's, but I am not as of yet.

and I have over 200 thousand km's on it, with bad synchros and a weak clutch. Also I have a full interior. Stereo, speakers etc etc, all the seats. Only thing I took out was the spare. And a half a tank of gas(just over actually)

We do get good gas up here tho, 94 octane Petro Canada stuff :) That might help out. When I was down for the Portland meet a few weeks back, I had to run on the 92 octane stuff there and it was not as good, pulling timing once boost hit 14 or so, and even with octane boost it was not as good. Oh and Mission Raceway Park is at about 20 feet above sea level :) hehe great atmoshperic pressure. It is calculated in tho by the track apparently.

Best of luck, and have fun :)

sorry i never answered the question, well if your AF gauge is somewhere in the stoich range you are probably ok,with the variance in the two passes, i think its your driving skills, the only way to improve is to practice, try to find a track that lets you get atleast 5 passes a night in.

That or practice a little. I'm all stock with a $22 boost controller and I an a 8.8@77 in the 1/8th, which equates to a 14 flat/high 13. Make some more passes next time, I see 13s in that car :thumb:

I can only assume that BC is the odd-man-out here; last time I rolled through MB/SK/AB, I couldn't find anything much better than 91 octane buffalo pee everywhere (and most rural places only had 89 octane OMG ). I had to be careful about timing my fills to coincide with arrivals in more urban areas, and kept a few bottles of that snake-oil octane booster handy. ;)

if you get youre 60ft times lower you be in 13's i got omost same mods as you exept for the s-afc and best time i did was 13.38@100mph with 1.790 60ft
