It's been 4 years since the last time I was able to drive this thing down the track. This last weekend I trailered her down to woodburn dragstrip for the last drag race event before the rains shut everything down and I had a blast. The track was prepped pretty good at the beginning of the day and made a hand full of 10.7's and 10.6 passes @ sub 130mph traps. My last pass of the day (track prep went away) I managed a 10.525 @ 134.26 with a 1.718 60'. This is my personal best!

I've learned a lot of new things during the rebuilding process of the car and I thank the entire English Racing staff for pointing me in the right direction.

Setup is simple

English 2.0L spec 6bolt shortblock
GSC S2's with matching valvetrain
SS valves with stock ports
English FWD auto trans manually shifted
Stock converter

FP68HTA 16G
FP turbo manifold
Old school magnus intake manifold with Q45 (yes, i know it's overkill for a 16g)
AEM EMS series 1, FIC 1150's, E98 and 2 walbro 255's in series.

Tuning, Fabrication all done by me.

I hate you... LOL I am in the process of painting the engine bay in my beater Colt. I wish it were in as nice of condition as your's! Sick car for sure!

Great job! Love seeing another 68hta in the tens! Any idea what the weight of this little beast is at?

it weighs about 2170 lbs. with me in it. I plan on taking more weight out of the car during the off season. I'd like it to weigh 2100 lbs with me in it.

What is the compression on the engine and what does the boost curve look like?

9.0:1 CR. I'll post the dyno chart with the boost plot later this evening.

Awesome times! How much boost? What size tires? How much boost are you leaving with and how long does it take you to build it at the line?

Thanks man! Tires are MH 24.5 x 8 x 13. On the 10.52 pass logs show i left with 22psi (which was too much). My best 60' foot of the day (1.63) was on the very first pass but hit boost cut and went 10.7@ 124 and that log showed 18psi on the launch. It takes about 5-7 seconds depending on trans temp to reach my 2step @ 3300. The warmer the trans the faster it comes up on the converter. For a pro tree I use a 30shot to stall.

I built the car to run in the IFO FIS class and since IFO will eliminate the use of NOS as a power adder, I'll have to find ways to get up on the converter faster.

My apologies for the garbage dyno sheet.

Last I tuned it it made 370ish whp and 300 wtq @ 25psi. then 380ish whp and 330 wtq @ 32 psi spike.

Nice sleeper for sure. The first time i saw it was at IFO spokane. its was cool meeting you at woodburn. ( billy here ) by the way, i drive the ER Talon with the similiar set up. Hope to see more you at woodburn next season. :)

what's up Billy? It was nice meeting you as well. My plan this winter is to remove more weight from the car and then creatively add it back over the front tires. Hopefully she goes quicker next time out. Planning on making any changes to your setup over the winter?

This is a beast!!!!!WTF I'm very impressed on how little you have and it's a 10 sec car, it's thread is pure motivational for me with my new build. I have a 92 Eagle Talon FWD which I'm going auto as well and I'm so amazed that you have simple mods and pull off great achievements :thumb: :thumb: I too would like to get my car setup for IFO as well to show these honda boys what's up,LOL.

Now I have a question? Welded diff or stock? AWD driver's axle?

nice. that is hauling ass for 380hp. Are you running a 2g or 1g auto? Do you have to go into overdrive to finish the run?

Nice. youre going to be passes me up soon :). yeah. going to add a fuel cell, do some rear bushing in all the back end. Add some coil overs to hopfully get it to 1.3x 60' more often. Got a couple other odds and ends to do to. I may do a beauty make over, damn car is soooo ugly LOL.
