Well, going to the 1/8th mile this weekend i'm hoping, it's 20 bucks to enter and is an all "true street" even, all cars must be currently plated and street tires only
Bad thing for me being manual trans is that it's bracket racing. but there's 2 hours of unlimited T&T to get your dial in setup.. REALL REALLY hoping for a low 7.xx (7.7x would be good, anything under 7.4x and i'll have an erection
)
Anyway, i'll have results up then as well, but tonight playing with my launches on the 2600 and trying to be nice to the stock trans i pulled a 0-60mph 4.34 seconds.. Now i'm not up to date on the latest porsche times but back in the late 90's early 2k's that was a porsche style 0-60 and to be honest i'm damn impressed with my little car.. The total time that the logger recorded for was 0-64 MPH in 4.507 seconds, and that was letting off as soon as i heard the logger/gtech program say "60MPH reached, logging stopping" (program called dynomaster for android, pretty accurate from what i've seen and been told, the only issue i've had is figuring out the frontal drag co-efficient for my car as that effects HP readings BIG time)
I didn't do any 1/8th style runs tonight as i don't like playing too fast on any road even when it is the most desolate back road i can find, but going from stopped to the speed limit i figure is fairly accceptable. Even the last time i was stopped for doing pratice launches out in the country was "if i don't hear tires squealing and don't see you going sideways or out of control you're ok technically" then he went on to say unless there was another car next to me or with me in which case it would be either racing or exhibition of acceleration, which i do not condone or participate in street racing, but as manny of us do enjoy a spirited gear pull herer and there, that's what i limit my duties to until i'm on a closed course
