well, if you read my profile, i've got a pretty decent amount of mods, still running the t25 but, i was expecting mid to low 14s with my FWD, my friend with a WRX pulled a 13.9 with blitz bov and turbo back exhaust and TEIN suspension, but me, i got stuck with a 15.2, i dont know exactly what happened but, the first time at the line, i peeled out 1st, 2nd and 3rd gear to redline, i ended up putting it into 4th and then dropping it to 2nd again, at which i ran a 16.6, 2nd time up, i decided instead of trying to gun it off the line, just to ride my clutch and float off the line, my reaction time was 0.34, not bad but my time was about 15.6, my third time up i did the same and ended up with 15.2, for some reason, the track seemed unusually wet and slick (as if i was racing in the rain), i was on street tires that are pretty bare, but will my times get better with better street tires? or should i plan on getting slicks? AH I'm IN THE WORST MOOD EVER! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

from what ive been learning track preperation is a big thing.. i ran at the track the other night and it was very sticky.. so it all depends on where yourat and how they prep the track..

BTW what were your 60ft times and your trap speed??

my best run soo far on my stock 1g has been 15.3 at 87 witha 2.1 60..i need to work on my launches and get a tune up!!

like i said, my friend with the WRX ran a 13.9, when we race on the street, he gets a good jump off the line, but i can usually catch up to about my front end at his passenger door by 100 mph, i was hoping for a good low 14 1/4 mile time =( , please PLEASE tell me not all tracks are slick like that

traction is most likely killing you. keep at it and learn how your car get off the line the best. some good drag radials would be alot better and a upgraded suspension. you could also get slicks if you plan on going to the track alot.

traction is one of your problems but the other one is the front mount with the t-25 your definatly loosing power there if you went back to the sidemount you might hit 14s you need some fuel mods a bigger turbo to match that i/c and some slicks to beat your buddy with the wrx

btw what where your trap speeds thats a good indication of potential you metioned your at your friends door at about 100 if this is b4 the end of the 1/4 you may be looking at 13's if you get it right, did you lower your tire pressure when you made these runs this helps a little

IROIBeirt: when my first time @the track last year, i have pretty much the same mods as you are, just dont have the FMIC and UICP but i have MBC set to 15psi and made 14.8 @94mph. traction was the big issue, but i also learn that shipting above 6000rpm is not worth it anymore. good luck @ the track next time!:thumb:
