Just saw this post, that was a great pass. Too bad you didn't give me your decent vid camera to make it better. Oh well, I guess the phone camera is better than nothing LOL.

Damn Dustin could you have been any more excited?? LOL Congrats man, do you have any pics of this setup? I've been bugging Dustin for I don't know how long to get me some =(

I know!! My 2 minute camera mount job didn't work to well either. The shot was shaky as hell & the white balance was off...oh well.

Awesome pass! A ton of ET left in the 60' :sneaky:

Yeah, I suspect the 75 shot is a little fat & not stalling up as fast. She left the tree @ around 3.6k, so there's room for improvement.

Lol, thanks brotha! Us Socal DSMers aren't use to ten second runs. Unfortunately, we've been playing catch up to the rest of the country:(. Either who, here ya go. Nothing special, just needed to machine the fp housing a tad to fit the turbine wheel. Everything else bolted right up.

Hey you have no idea how long we've been waiting to see this car run 10's. Especially when the last two times at the track Hugo's car just kept having stupid little issues. Then to finally see it put it down it was awesome.

This car put down over 500awhp back at MOD 2008! Do the math and its been a 10 second car, thats ran 11.4's or slower, for almost 3 years now so its been a LONG time coming Hugo! GREAT JOB! I wish I could have been there to watch you hug the lady at the timeslip booth when she kicked you off the track for going too fast. ROFL

10's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:dsm:

Where specifically in the turbine housing did the machining take place in order to make this work? That's a very interesting setup.

Congrats man! Just goes to show that you dont need the high $$$ parts to go fast!

congrats Hugo! bout damn time!

I have some serious catching up to do!

I took his housing to a local shop that did a custom housing for me and had them machine his...

it really just depends on the housing, as long as theres enough meat in the housing to fit the larger wheel, it will work. I had a T3 .48AR machined out to fit an HX35 and even an HX35 housing machined to fit an HX40

you just need a good machinest with the right tools

Yeah, that lady's a sweetheart! She was super stoked when she handed me the slip & said "Honey, I love ya'...now go get your safety equipment installed!"......but the red head tech inspector. It's so bad we actually do some recon to avoid her in tech line.

yeah we do, especially for those ones that are borderline on passing *cough cough*

she is one picky I3itch though

Good job Mr Hugo. Now part it out!! LOL j/k. Any word so we can start on that cage? Then put you into the 9's. LOL

Way late on this, but better late then never. Excuse the horrible audio & video quality. The settings where off & my 30 second camera mount job wasn't sturdy enough...this was one of my 11 sec runs.

Hugo, no offense man but that has got to be one of the worst videos of someone going down the track ever. Good pass! I couldn't even tell if you were racing or rolling up to the tree? ROFL
