I should have wrote something up on this yesterday but a friend of mine wanted to go play some paintball :rocks:
So yesterday Blackbird and the Pylon decided to take on the track that is SPARTA!! Here is a brief rundown one how my day went:

I get the car trailered to the track (thanks to Greg!!! Thanks again!!). I get the car offloaded, teched, and up to operating temps. Now generally on the first run of the day i like to take it a little easier on the car. Kinda feel out the track a little bit..... Well that wasnt the case yesterday haha Marks (ForcePower Motorsports) words to me before i went up wait in the lanes were "giver her hell!" and I sure as hell did
First pass of the day the car went 11.21 @129mph!!! A new personal best.
Needless to say i was more than pumped coming back to the pit area LOL The car has been fighting minor issues all year and for it to come off the trailer and run down that kind of time i had the wright to be.

Second pass was another personal best, in the mph category. 11.26 @130mph
The track prep had started to fade for this run. My 60ft was a tenth slower and i think that was what contributed to the high mph.

After these passes the car started running into the same issues its had all year. Not to worry tho, the goal still stands to run a 10 and im pretty positive it can still be achieved.

Thanks again to Mark, the tuning machine!!! The time and effort put into this car can not even be measured.
And also a thanks goes out to Pat for helping out with the car in and around the shop.

The cars gonna get faster, just not sure when LOL

Way to go Nate, I know you will get that 10 second slip before the end of the year.

10% luck. :D
15% determination. :hellyeah:
25% tuning. :hmm:
50% driving. :hellyeah:

Considering how hard you push this car week in and week out, I'm surprised we haven't had to rebuild anything in the last two years. :thumb:

It is completely insane that 16g cars are picking up 34mph on the back half and running 125-130mph trap speeds in 2010. I can remember back when I first got into DSM's around 1997 when an "awesome" running 16g car was something in the low 12's and 114mph range.

Progress.

Awesome! That is some HUGE MPH, damn......:thumb:

You'll get that 10! Car looks bad-ass in your avatar. I'm partial to the red with the dark wheels:D

He already has a 1.5 60ft though with healthy weight reduction.:)

I'm not sure what point you are trying to make:confused:

There's always more on the table. He and that car can cut 1.4X 60' times I'm sure. If he laid down a 1.45 60' and didn't change anything else it's a 10.9x pass.

Of course! I am also in 4th gear about 100 ft. or so before the 1/8, maybe a bit sooner. I will do my best to be ready for next year! Again, the car looks killer! I like the black center/polished lip wheels too....real nice!

Oh and the nickname for the car, "pylon," is cool and fitting visually, but is a bit off because that would suggest that someone was trying to drive around you in a parking lot, don't see that happening at 130 MPH:D

I am just stating that he'll need to really pull the weight off the car. But yes certainly he can get a 10.9sec with a 1.4sec 60ft.

I don't feel that anymore weight reduction will be required, after all this is his daily driver in the summer.

We tune the car for him and I know there is more left in it yet and he knows he can get some more out of his driving yet.

Can we have some details on the car? Cams, SMIM?

congrats... a harder launch would def get u in 10's LOL :hellyeah: but definite nice times and car... nuthin better than having both... i <3 DSMs LOL fast hondas are usually ugly and empty weighing at 500 lbs LOL

There's a little more info on the car at the below link, think the only thing that needs to be updated is the weight (2800 lbs).

FPM-EVOIII 16G

If Nate wants to add more, I'm sure he will when he's on the forum next.
