1st time at the track 11.5@126

CAR IS NOW FOR SALE! $6000 or best offer.

This is my 2nd DSM, but the first one I have drag raced. AWD is an awesome feeling. Being this is my weekend warrior and 1st time at the strip, I tralered the car there. 1st time off the trailer I missed 3rd and went 11.9@122. My 2nd pass was 11.5@126 and I backed it up with a 11.6@126. This was all on pump gas. I did not weigh the car because there were no scales, but only thing out of her is the A/C, rear seats and spare/tools. I am very happy with the car, considering I bought it for $5500 with all the mods in it not running. This car was never raced and sat for about 2 years untouched. Here is my slip breakdown...
60 foot - 1.708
330- 4.961
1/8- 7.508
mph- 95.94
1000- 9.671
1/4- 11.500
mph- 126.65

This car has mystery suspension in it. Looks to me like cut springs and stock shocks. I cant wait to hook up the 2 step on the MSD and see what she does. I actually bogged the launches so i have room to improve I think. Let me know how I did!!

Well its more like what wasnt wrong with it. The car didnt start because when the trans was done, they forgot to tighten the ground wire going to the trans. Thats pretty important. The intermediate shaft was crooked cause the A/C bracket was not on so i had to shim it. The car was an electrical nightmare. i actually have pictures of it all on DSMtalk.
I am a new DSM owner - DSMtalk Forums

That gives a little history on the car. As far as I am concerned its a mystery as to whats realy in the motor and everythign else. All i know is that its pretty fast!

Nice driving.

I'll be shooting for the same time with the same compressor wheel.

Most of the mods are in my profile. Anything I did not mention and you want to know just ask. As for compression its either 8.5:1 or 9:1 I am not really sure. Also from what I was told the tune has 17degrees timing, running a Haltech system on 25psi of boost. I really like the FP red turbo, but it seems to fall out of boost if you dont shift fast enough, but since its the only DSM I have drove with a turbo upgrade, I can not compare it to anythign else lol. The car is running 205-45-16 toyo proxis that are 4 years old. Going off the MPH, the car should have more left in it if I can get it off the line better.

The only thing bothering me is, i have been compairing my times with the times of EVOs, and i notice these guys getting 1.8 60 foot times, going 11.1 @ 123. now my 60' is better and my mph is better, could it be the smaller tires i am running? maybe the gearing on the EVO is better?

Maybe your mph is inflated due to spinning.
