7.736 @ 93.2mph on FP3065

Hey guys,

did the first runs on the 3065 at the 1/8 mile this weekend. Had some growing pains but in the end i ran a best time of 7.732 and a best mph of 96.xx at 23psi. Was running 11.5ish afrs and fairly conservative timing....17-18 degrees above 7000rpm and 9-13 or so in peak torque area. Was running pretty consistant 1.7 60's but im sure it has more in it as it was spinning all 4 tires REAL hard no matter what i did.

Was having maf problems up in the 29psi range so i didnt get any clean runs at high boost.

here are the vids

Look closely in this one after the 1-2 shift and you can see the harmonic damper come off the car thatll happen hitting the limiter in first at 9250rpm. WOOOPS new one is on the way

Get that maf issue fixed and the boost up and you'll be in good shape. As a comparison, I was doing 7.0 @ 100mph on my 3052 @ 34psi

I was running dsmlink at the time. But I wasn't logging. The car was running well the night before when it was on the dyno, didn't make any changes and took it right to the track. so yeh..

Cool. Im pretty sure it has a boost leak but im back up north now and have to wait till july 12th to go play with it some more. Im going to have to hack the maf because i was just hitting full boost at 2400hz and i need to clamp the maf by then to use fake maf in dsm link. Boost needs to be stable by 2400hz. I will get it dialed in next trip home. 12 days of nothing better to do. I had the boost at about 27psi and it was flowing 47-48lbs/min but just didnt feel very good and didnt seem to make much more power. That and the wavy maf signal....reading just over 3000hz.

I feel like it developed a boost leak at the track because the first run of the day it went 96mph @ 23psi and then i couldnt get better than 94 for the rest of the day at the same boost level. It also started idling crappy towards the end of the day and the STFT's were maxed out lean. Still felt fine under power but im sure i was losing some air somewhere. DAMNIT this is bugging me that i cant go sort it out.

Nice runs that is an 11 second car for sure. I ran a 12.1@116 last weekend and my 1/8 time was 7.9@92. Do you not have a 1/4 near you?

2G-specific oh man I thought I was losing it

These 1/8th mile track times really throw me off. I was expecting a 7 second 1/4 miles track time when i watched the vid.

Yeah i have a couple 1/4 mile tracks close to me but this 1/8 mile airstrip is VERY close and easy to work out the bugs in the setup. Unfortunately i wont be at the 1/4 until august but i get to go twice then and once in september. As well as the 1/8 a couple more times.

I went 7.7 at 93mph last night on a td06 20g. 23-24psi

Definitely turn the boost up. You still have a lot of potential.

agreed...i just need to get the maf sorted out with no honeycombs and i have a strange rich idle(or lack thereof) The car idles super rich and the trims are maxed out trying to pull fuel. FP is 43.5. I wont be able to look at the car again till the 12th of july so i have to wait. which sucks cause im dying to sort it out and get some clean high boost pulls. 500whp is just teasing me right now. GRRRR haha.
