Well after putting the new ACT2600 in last night I decided to go to the ImportFaceoff here in Kansas City today. I ran a bracket class since I couldnt compete with the faster cars. I only had 2 time trials and the first pass was a 12.06 @115 letting off in 4th since the plugs were bad, 2nd and final trial I went a 11.58 @126 w/ a 1.87 60', then came 1st round so I dialed the car in at a 11.50 against a 13.2 car. Here is the breakdown:
.853 rt
1.793 60'
4.978 330'
7.528 1/8th @ 95.40
9.691 1000"
11.473 @ 128mph lifting and broke out by .027
Overall I am very happy here is my setup:
Stock longblock minus BS and HKS 264/272 cams
Stock intake manifold and TB
PTE 680's
Shep Stage 4
ACT2600
SC6152E w/ .63 ar @ 25psi
Falken street tires on stock rims
VPC stock non-eprom ecu
0.... yes zero degrees base timing
10.4 AFR
50 shot to spool ( I know this is nitrous but remember the car has no timing a is way rich )
I had a few guys congradulate me and wanted to know how I keep the car together. So I explained the tune so they'd understand.
Sorry I have no video but I will ask around.
Thanks for reading,
Jason

. So yes, in a way it helps you because you go through the traps under power. Stock 4th gear, generally speaking starts crawling up the teeth at 500 wheel torque or so (somewhere in the 10's). Shep has ran his synchro tranny with heavy duty 3-4 into the 8's I believe. The woof woof so far hasn't reached a failure point as far as I know (mid 7's).
