Well after putting the new ACT2600 in last night I decided to go to the ImportFaceoff here in Kansas City today. I ran a bracket class since I couldnt compete with the faster cars. I only had 2 time trials and the first pass was a 12.06 @115 letting off in 4th since the plugs were bad, 2nd and final trial I went a 11.58 @126 w/ a 1.87 60', then came 1st round so I dialed the car in at a 11.50 against a 13.2 car. Here is the breakdown:

.853 rt
1.793 60'
4.978 330'
7.528 1/8th @ 95.40
9.691 1000"
11.473 @ 128mph lifting and broke out by .027

Overall I am very happy here is my setup:

Stock longblock minus BS and HKS 264/272 cams
Stock intake manifold and TB
PTE 680's
Shep Stage 4
ACT2600
SC6152E w/ .63 ar @ 25psi
Falken street tires on stock rims
VPC stock non-eprom ecu
0.... yes zero degrees base timing
10.4 AFR
50 shot to spool ( I know this is nitrous but remember the car has no timing a is way rich )

I had a few guys congradulate me and wanted to know how I keep the car together. So I explained the tune so they'd understand.

Sorry I have no video but I will ask around.

Thanks for reading,

Jason

Congrats on the runs. So you're looking at possibly low 11's. Nice.

What I like best is your pic; the car looks nice and clean but it doesn't look fast (if you know what I mean). Nice little sleeper effect.

Thanks alot guys this is my 1st year owning a DSM so I am happy. As for logs its a VPC car so I have nothing, also no dynos, but I assure you its around 470whp now. I need to order 26" tall tires so I can put the 75 shot in and not hit the rev limiter on the finish line in 4th since I am crossing at 7100rpms on the stock 205 tires.

Thanks again and I hope I can find video of my pass,

Jason

Thats really DECENT backhalf MPH gain. I had to go 101 mph in the eighth on my stock longblock to get 130 in the quaker. Must be the cams or nitrous helping you spool quicker between the 3-4 shift. I'm a FWD commenting on your backhalf gain. Good backhalf gain means you got a good tune in it and not pulling much if any timing!

Thank you, yes I am amazed what these lil 4g's will do coming from a 725whp supra owner I have found these motors will make more power/cylinder than the 2jz!! Do you think maybe the 3-4 gear change shep does helps? I cannot put the 75 shot in until I get taller tires whereas I am almost at the stock rev limit already. I am working on a set of QTP's since I already need them for my talon project car.

Also this was done on VP C14

The shep 3-4 gear change allows you to not rip the teeth off 4th gear LOL. So yes, in a way it helps you because you go through the traps under power. Stock 4th gear, generally speaking starts crawling up the teeth at 500 wheel torque or so (somewhere in the 10's). Shep has ran his synchro tranny with heavy duty 3-4 into the 8's I believe. The woof woof so far hasn't reached a failure point as far as I know (mid 7's).

No fuel pump, regulator?

Oh sorry sometimes I forget the first mods, yes it has a supra pump re-wired, stock fuel lines and a old regulator from some other car years ago cant remember what brand.

I bought the car from a friend and put the new trans, clutch, exhaust and turbo on. He already had the fuel pump , VPC, 680's and regulator on the car. I have someone trying to buy the car tomorrow but I REALLY hate to sell it because I can honestly say its a freak. It has been a 11.8-12.0 car for 5 years. Its taken out on weekends and beat on but it has been meticulously (sp?) taken care of to keep in perfect shape. The head has never been off and it still supports the stock original head gasket w/ 122k miles.

Anyone have some 26x9.5x16 QTP's? I am looking to get some if the car doesnt sell, I really want a 10 second pass on this setup.
