Today we headed out to the Farm (Farmington, 1/8th mile track). I took my talon, my cousin took his eclipse. We raced eachother the first two runs. 1st run, he ran a mid 10 and I ran a 10.20, I didnt see his time, and they werent handing slips out. On the 2nd run I ran a 10.3 and he ran a 10.5. My final run was against my brother's 05 v6 stang, I ran a 10.2 and he ran a 10.0. My cousin's final run was against my dad. HE nailed this run down, he got a 9.9 and my dad ran an 8.9. BOth of thier best runs. At the end of my cousin's 9.9 run, his car cut off at end of track. He gets it cranked, wrestle's it into gear and pulls it to the side, you can smell the clutch like mad. We look at his turbo timer trying to find out why it cut off. IT says his max rpms were 9970. I guess it cut off at that. That morning before his first run the max rpm was 7100. Cars are as follows. My cousin's 90 GST, dejon tool cold air, exhaust separated at downpipe, 267,xxx miles. My 93 TSI, stock with the exhaust turned out infront of back tire, 7xxx miles on engine(if guy I bought it from wasnt lying, if he was, 208,xxx miles). My brother's mustang, stock with true dual exhaust ran from where y-pipe used to be, with no mufflers, around 3xxx miles. My dad's car, 83 Mercury Capri with a 306, 8.8 rearend with 3.73s, a few bolt-ons about 700 miles on new engine. Do these dsm times sound about right?

. One of the pics show's my 60', 2.642. That is horrible. I see on the 1/4 mile times page that there is a guy that ran a 10.3 with a 2.1 60', so if I could get down to around 2.1 I should run 10.0 or better right?
