I have tried so hard this season to hit an 11 sec run. I put a 60 shot single fogger on the car and gained 6mph but only dropped 2 tenths on the et. This was all done at 4500ft elevation. Just wondering how big of a difference the kyb agx struts made on your cars.

What kind of tires are you guys using to cut low 1.7-1.6 60ft times. I couldn't get any better than a 1.84.

The stiffer shocks will definately help with grip... I don't know how much time you will lose, but it will help with the famous 1g squat
hey, some of us like scratching our mufflers, I know I love it. Every time I launch, someone comes up to me and says, dude, your muffler touches the ground when you launch. I could drive out to nevada right now and launch, and when I came back, someone would have seen it and would be telling me about how my muffler touches the ground... SOOO annoying. If you have the stock suspension, and its DEAD like mine, replace it asap. My car bounces two to three times with each shake. Its hilarious, especially when cornering. :(

Haha...I have ET'd worse than that. :sneaky: :|

But seriously, good tires is a must. Lower the tire pressure too. What RPM are you launching at? Are you launching with boost? That will make a big difference. Practice your launches often to see what your car likes best. :thumb:

My tire pressure was at 22psi fronts and 18psi for the rear. I launch at about 6000rpms with a little boost. My main problem is second and third gear. My tranny is bone stock with 140000 miles on it and about 60000 of those are hard driven ones, It still shifts like butter though.

Well, just bought a set of bbs wheels off an evo mr with new advan tires. So we'll see how much those help with the et's.

I always run stock tire pressure (32 psi up front and 29 psi in the back). I've cut a 1.711 on so far.

Just be careful doing that with a stock center diff or a 3-bolt rear or you'll end up driving home from the track with the car on a flatbed...

Why?

Not being argumentative but just curious. I normally drop my front tire pressure to 19-20psi (F) and 22psi (R) and stiffen the rear shocks to max. Car launches great like this. Mid 1.6x's. I do have the stock tranny and stock 3-bolt rear. It's LSD though. :sneaky:

I also launch much lower than "most" people do: 4,750rpm.

Love your car.

CandianTsi, Did you run that 11.8@120 with the current dyno numbers you have posted or have you done more to the car since then

are lsd's rare or something, ### my 90 that I got for 2200 with 908xx miles on it has one. It also came with 155 psi compression across the board. Hmmmm, just makes me feel even better about buying this car. It has been registered in more states than I've been to in my life. TOTAL COMMUTER CAR, LOL

Those Numbers were from last year with the stock cams, TB, and Intake Mani...should be a little higher this year.

I hear you on that, i'm just waiting for something to blow up...

I actually didn't go to our last Test and Tune for the first time in over 3 years...just didn't have a good feeling.

Does this help.

Sorry but it is 50/50, can you see the pic?

Geez, 119 mph in a 12 second AWD. You must really be moving up top. I have been thinking about putting a small shot on my car to see if I can't get my trap speeds up a little.

I went from running a 1.831 with blown shocks and crappy Kuhmo tires to pulling a 1.700 with new stock shocks and Nitto NeoGens. I run 20 pounds of pressure in the front and 18 pounds of pressure in the back. If I run more pressure in the back I always break the back tires loose.

When I pulled the car off the trailor I didn't even check anything on the car before I went into the staging lanes. I ended up pulling a 1.741 sixty. We decided to pull some air out of the tires and found out that the guys that mounted my tires put 47 pounds in all four of my tires!!!

Yeah I had a 1.95 60 ft that run so it killed my et. Before I put the shot on my car it was running consistant 12.2's @ 113. This was @ 4500 ft so I think it was an 11 sec car just on the turbo. I can say my new evo mr wheels/tires definitaly help with my traction.
