Opinion....LOCAL BIG BAD COBRA

Over the weekend a friend of mine talked with someone he knows that has a supercharged cobra w/ little extra work that claims he runs 7.7 at local 1/8 track. The cobra owner really brags about his car being fast and my buddy told him he knew where a 4 cynlinder would out run him, if not it would stick with him. Him and his wife laughed and accepted the challange. My friend called me and asked if I maybe interested and told me that he was ready (speaking of street racing), I told him sure and told him Piedmont was open next Sunday for Test-N-Tune from 1-4 and we could get together than. He tried talking me into street racing but I did not bite. I told my friend to tell him that I am not afriad of the Cobra and I will do it legit if we race and qouted that the track is better for him (he could get better traction for one) and my main comments about it was that there will be a crowd around to witness it.

I am not really sure about what to espect, from the ones that has better knowledge of my setup and what I can be looking at the track what opinions do you all have.

First, my very first run ever down the track (local 1/8 track) I ran a 8.06, launching out of the hole at 4750. Of course my 60' and reaction time was not the best in the world.

On the 8.06 pass my installs consist:
1g built bottom and top end (cant tell say anymore, sorry), EVO 16g (ported and larger wastegate flapper), 2g exhaust mani ported, 3" turbo back exhaust (catless), Shep Tranny, DSM Link (was not tuned yet with DSM Link), 580cc injectors, GM 3" MAS + MAFT, ACT 2100 w/ fidanza flywheel, Buscher FMIC and head, Aeromotive FPR, 255 Fuel pump.

This is what we call bench racing my friend. Not allowed. Race him and find out.

yea i guess bench racing is not allowed or what ever but in situations like this run race gas, up the boost and launch at 6k and ask if if he likes how your tail lights look,

I dont mean for this thread to be consider as a bench racer just thoughts pretty much. I told him I will race him and for sure was not scared of him. All he needs to do is show up.

I will pump a little of that good racing gas and bump boost up to 22-24psi, how is that for thought?
