Can someone tell me the best way to launch a 2g fwd with slicks and a laggier turbo? I have a 60trim with an 82 ar exhaust side so it is laggy. I am not sure how the best way to launch with this thing would be. I should be making around 450whp with this setup or close to it. I have dsmlink, should i use the studder box function? I am only used to launching awds.
Thanks

my buddy always slips it out and uses his stutter box, he launches my own car better than i can :coy:

he gets an average of 6th better 1/4 than me in my own car... :coy:

but im working on it LOL!

my buddy can launch the dogshit outta a fwd :thumb: im still learning ROFL

good luck, i sugest slipping it out ,cause the clutch is cheaper than a tranny

Just keep running at the track until you find the highest rpm to launch at where you don't spin. I personally try to semi-preload the clutch and use the ebrake so the back end squats. And just pretty much dump the clutch from there and take off like a bat outta hell.

What rpm are you slipping it from? With slicks, is it more like launching an awd? Some people get 1.6 and 1.7 60' and I don't want to be getting 2.0s or worse.

Exactly. Use the 2-step function and keep setting it higher and higher until you get to the point where you launch hard and can spin the slicks. Make sure you preload, have the clutch right at the threshold of moving the car, but I would rather slip the clutch off the line and not just dump it because your car could jerk too much and you'll spin the slicks. Practice makes perfect. :)

Thanks also for the info guys, Im currently in same boat. I just picked up these brand new 8" MT's for dirt cheap. Im getting prothane engine mounts and a good setup of rear shocks/ springs too. I'm getting the car tuned correctly to using DSMLink. I severly hope to hit 12's.
