I know bench racing is stupid but my friend did a thread on his f body forum and everybody said my car would own his.his car is a 96 LT1 t/a with k&N drop in filter and a exhaust cutout after the cat and my car is in my profile.please no comments on bench racing thank you

I think he will completely rape you. The only real big hp gaining mods done that you have are intake w/ K&N, exhaust manifold, and boost @ 16psi. I doubt you still run the 15.1@92mph but if you do, the LT1 will definately kill you. You do have the bigger injectors and S-AFC for tuning so I guess you could get some more out of that. Let us know what you run in the quarter and then maybe we could tell a little better. LT1's stock are low low 14 second cars w/ good drivers. He could be high 13's with the cutout though since the exhaust will be pretty free flowing. So on second thought, I dont think he'll kill you but it will be close w/ him probably winning.

Like all replies should be to these topics, GO OUT AND RACE HIM to find out for sure. I dont understand why people always ask this crap. Especially since he is your friend, you should be able to set something up tonight if you wanted to. Plus I know you dont want to hear anything about bench racing, but this is just that and against the rules. Now have some fun and go race him!

honostly .. your timeslip shows a 15.1 and even a slightly modded LT1 T/A should be able to pull a high 13. So I really don't think you could beat him with your current set up. Of course assuming your friend can drive worth a damn. I have seen people with nice cars totally miss gears because they are still learning the tranny (a vette ZO6 comes to mind).

i ran 13.7 with a catback, K&N, MBC, 100octane, act2100 and some weight mods "free".
Good luck, LT1s are a thing of the past, i compete with cammed LS1's now with my B16G

i wouldn't worry about it because i ran a T/A at the track and he had m/t tires, i think radials or drags, launched on my ass hard, but i got a 14.1 and he got a 14.4. my trap was 105 tho, fwd sux at the track heh.

my friends lt1 did a 13.7 with just intake and cutout ... lt1s are kinda slow and you "should" be able to win with a good launch. My friend ran a 12.8 with the same car and same mods with a 75 wet shot. If he's on the bottle you will loose.

mid 13's are easy on a near stock awd. i know cause i ran a 13.6 last time out with mods in profile. i had a few gallons of 93 oct. 3 galls of race fuel, 104 i think,...and i gal of toluene. full lbs. with some tools flying around in the back seat. running 14lbs and disconn your downpipe from turbo and take off the hanger bolt right there too. also i could be quicker with a fresh cluth cause mine is just awful right now...so if your clutch is still holding up and you can drive expect a better time. anyways do that and hope for the best.

well ok then. Fair enough. I still dont think you will KILL him. But like I said before, since he is your friend, RACE HIM. Stop bench racing. It is especially retarded when you ask what you will run against a friend. If it is some kid you saw driving around that you dont know, it's a little more ok I guess. Let us know how you do. I cant believe the mods have not locked this already.
