www.smallblockposse.com hit up the message board. Most races are for 500-7500 bucks so unless your running stout I wouldnt bother!! Wicked site though, DO NOT confuse this with rice racing. Its how it was done in the late 60s.

Go back to ca.dsm.org, thats gotta be the lamest, most controlling website Ive EVER been on. They dont even have answers for anything "GO CHECK THE GODDAMN VFAQ"...thats just cuz they dont know how to make power. Go build a V8, then buy a DSM. You'll have a good idea how to go bottom 10s...even 9s for less cost.
 
So you posted this just to talk shit. Lame. All your friends have fast cars and we are glad for you but comming in here and trying to talk down to people is frowned upon. You want a good technical discusion try and get in on the NABR private forums.

You should now that most people that buy DSM are younger and dont have 500.00 to buy a turbo let alone race for money so you are barking up the wrong tree for the most part. I have alot of friends that would be willing to race you but I am in AZ so I guess its a bust.

Yo, Iam not here to talk shit. But when you get all these lame smiley code things from kids with clear tailights its pretty sad. DSM's can compete with the mild nitrous mustangs and all motor smallblock cars. It's just a shout out to anybody atleast in the 11s that lives in the area to check it out. You can sucker a few 12 sec mustangs into a 5 bill pass and make some money. Its REAL streetracing, down a blocked off hwy. If you cleartailight kids prefer to run 130MPH through russ hour traffic go ahead, but I wont be at your funeral...nor will I give a shit.

If you want to generalize and say that we are all ricers and dont know what "real" street racing is then I think you should quit waisting all our time and just move on. You are obviously way cooler and your car is a ton faster so thank you for gracing us with your post, but we will not be talked down too.

But hey, when was the last time you saw a 69 Chevelle with 10 wides a 5" cowl hood, 3" front skinnies and a 632" BBC with 400HP NOS racing down the higway and plowing into a newlywed couple on there way to deliver there first born??

Ive never seen any musclecar racing down the highway in traffic...and you never will either. Last year a bunch of Hondas called the posse out, they went, but because the honda dicks posted the street they'd be on the cops laid a nail belt and caught them. They let the posse drive right on by WAVING!

Not trying to stereotype everyone but DSMs are there for the taking and the "honda dicks" everyone of you like to make fun of bought a 2g and its up there on this post with clear tails. If you couldnt distinguish that in that post then you should read my posts from top to bottom...3-times.

When was the last time you saw a 540 BBC with twin T76 in a balk-halfed 69 F body with 13 inch wide slicks, a glide with a brake, and a Mark Williams rearend. I saw one the other night and I pulled both fronts on a city street on the way to race some other cars.

You are generlizing and it makes you look dumb. Not all old guys driving muscle cars are like you and and your friends and not all guys with imports have clear tail lights. If you want to assume then go ahead, bu we all know what it does.

I also did see the 2G with smoked tails not clear but again with all you infinte knowledge I am sure you were able to distinguish the difference. Just becasue he rolled his eyes doesnt mean you have to try and be better than him. Not everyone on this board likes clear tails or guys that come in and assume.

Again, you are assuming I know nothign and just spouting off words.

A brake is a shorter term for a trans brake. It is a special valve body put into an auto tranny, with a manual valve body, that when activated by a solenoids will lock the tranny into 1st and R. This along with a special converter, short for torque converter, will allow a car with an auto tranny to launch in the same manner as a manual car dumping the clutch. It also allows the motor to opperate in its power band from the start and when used with a converter that is matched to the motor, cam, rear end gears, and tire height will allow it the motor to stay in it power ban for the durstion of the race.

Was that sufficient???

O.k, wanna play? 70 Nova 3000Lb W/ Driver Ummmm, Turbo 350 trans (pick the converter) Lets say a 12-bolt w/??? 4.56s, 10.5WX28 slick (wont spin) Full cage ,full interior.
Motor..hmmm lets say a 383 SBC, (3.75" stroke, 4.030 bore} Now, pick the cam, intake, carb and converter for this sucker to run 10.70-11.10 on straight motor. Pumpgas.
And feel free for me to "fill in the blanks on a mystery motor if you think I just read a tech card (i didnt..I know V8s too)
