beat a 99gt

As always I get ragged on by all of my buddies with cameros and stangs figuring id do alright from a stop I asked my friend with a 1999 gt if he wanted to race on a nice stretch a little less then 1/4 mile. Btw he has the following mods off road h pipe catback coldair intake pullies short shifter and a king cobra clutch. I drove the car it pulls awesome from a roll. Well we started from a stop and a friend flagged us from a 3-2-1. I dropped from about 5 k and got almost instant traction it was approximately 65-70 degrees almost prime weather. I got about 2.5-3 cars off the start and thought hes gonna catch up and take me in the end but to my surprise I didnt see him the rest of the race. I ended up only winning by a car length or so but not bad for spending less then a grand on mods. Win one for the 4 cyl

He was pretty quite after I beat him but sounded as if he wanted to say he had a bad launch and afterwards got mad and went home which was funny. Although I do still respect the v8's for the awesome torque and good power from a roll. Btw im not dissing v8's

gt finished at the track with a 13.9 with a 2.0 sixty and a 101 trap speed as of last week so i guess im somewhere close to high 13's

Well I live right across from john carroll high school I go to school in north carolina so I wont be back till the end of the semester which is the very beginning of may but you may of seen me here and there i usually find my way to most of the car meets and get togethers
