what is the best /nice sounding BOV i should order to go with this kit?
i currently have a XS that is LOUD... but this kit comes witht the 1st gen dsm bov flange?
what BOV can i get that will be nice and loud and not leak, like my XS..LOL
i dont want to cut the flange off and re weld, want it to be a bolt on affair as soon as the FMIC kit shows up,sugesstions? to fit the 1st gen DSM flange?
$$ isnt really a issue, but reliabilty is is:)

They make all kinds of adapter flanges for BOV's now. I just ordered the synapse bov. I will be home in about a month to try it out. I have heard nothing but good things. I am currently using a tial and I really am not a fan. My camsand lack of vacuum make it hard to open and it flutters even with the 7 psi spring. I am hoping to have better luck with the synapse. I had a RS before that and it worked great. I still have it and may go back to it if the synapse dosent do the job. I plan on using the tial on a 5.0 mustang turbo project.

A 1g bov sounds good and is reliable. For most people out there it is the best choice.

I use a Forge because I found it for a very good deal. I had to rebuild it but that was literally a matter of cleaning it and putting some grease in it. It is slightly louder than a 1g bov and has the potential to hold more boost. It is also shiny if that matters to you.

How much boost do you want to hold?

If your answer is less than 20 then the 1g bov is the way to go.

I have there 1g kit and it came with a 50mm flange. I would go with the stock 1g bov(holding 30psi for me) or a tial. The rest are junk.

Pretty much, the most efficient and the best bang for the buck are the Tial and the 1g BOV's.
Although the 1g BOV does like to leak when you start seeing ~22<X psi's.

DO YOU HAVE MAP TRANS ? IF NOT SOUND SHOULD BE YOUR LAST THOUGHT. VENTING TO ATMOS IS BAD IF YOU DON'T HAVE ONE. i have the turbosmart duel port. sounds great and i can vent 50/50 with out throwing a CEL. its cost alot but the proformance and reliabilty is top of the line.:talon:

Your very right. Do not vent to atmosphere unless your setup to do so. You will have problems with getting to much fuel during shifts when your coming off boost. Here is a good thread about this: http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/bolt-tech/834-venting-atmosphere.html?perpage=25&pagenumber=1 Good luck man.

I use the tial 50mm by the way. Never had a problem with it.

yep, 1g or forge is a good choice, I like forge- they offer seriously a more shiny version of the 1g bov. It looks exactly like it.
