I was wondering if my setup was able to take me into the high 10's.I have a talon awd with gt3076r and a 2.3 stroker motor. We were able to extract 543whp and 484 lbs at 30 psi. I ran 11.5 at 130 mph my second time at the track ever. I need to work on my 60 foot and 330, but i was wondering if i should look into a gt35r or bigger. Should I just work on my driving to reach my goal. The car weights 3278 with me in it. I am trying to get used to this ptt twin disc i think i am coming off the clutch to soon. I just need some help to get things in order for next season. I see the black 2g from tpg tuning it really dialed in (super95awd).

Here is a video of my pass at the track.

Your trap speed is right in the area to run a 10. You could look into some weight loss for the car, and work on the ol' driver mod.

the way that car is in those videos, its well capable of 10's, does it grip at the track, because it didnt grip really well on the street :tease: but it sounds like a monster :thumb: , what was the 60' from that run? you should be in the 1.6-1.7's area with a decent launch and if your not around there then you can have some very nice gains just getting there. thats my 2 cents

I agree. Don't mess with anything else. Just PRACTICE driving it. You have enough power to pull anywhere from a 10.6-10.9 just from the 60.

I am guessing with all that TQ you have (very good btw :) ) you will need some GOOD tires since you already have close to 500ft lbs by 5k rpm. I would get some DRs. ;)

agreed with all the previous statements, those 60fts gotta come down with the power your making youn should be getting into the 10s. are u running drag radials if so, you should invest in some full slicks, and you should be able to obtain your goal, is this the car that i seein at Racing Results?

10's are definitely in your near future!! Get some tires and get that launch down.:thumb:

A GT35R would defently do it, but like others have said, isn't needed. With your current setup & just a proper launch should net you some high 10's. Others around here with that sort of power (& abit less) are hitting 1.6-1.7's & not on the greatest tires either. Practice & a good set of DR's or slicks (if your current rubber isn't great) should be all you need. Last time I checked there were a couple guys running low 10's on the 3076, around the 10.2 mark, so you should still have abit more left in that turbo :thumb: .

I don't believe there's anyone faster than the 10.60-10.70 area other than my freakshow car that went 10.11 at 136 on the 3052 on PUMP 93 and no nitrous. It's easily, easily possible for the 30r to run deep 10's, you just have to stick with it. With the power your car is making I wouldn't see 10.50's being any problem if you just drive the crap out of the thing.

I was going to build a car similar to your set-up and was wonder how fast the GT3076R spooled up with the 2.3 stroker. I was looking for a turbo to make 25PSI by 4K on it but have lots of up top power and your trapping 130MPH which is more than I want.

Thanks guys for the support. I am going definetly practice my driving and get some slicks for next season. Special thanks to my tuner who has been there every step of the way. Wolfman or Waynespeed that tunes Wolf 3d and can be reached at Waynespeed.com.

No problem, keep the setup and get some more track time. Get some bfg drag radial's and slip the clutch to preload the drivetrain during the launch, don't just clutch drop. Bring your laptop and play with 2step rpms also.

According to dsmtimes, there's also another one a couple lines down running the 3052, 10.17 @ 139, no nitrous :thumb:
