Im getting very curious about doing this 4g64 swap into my 1g i was originally looking into stroker cranks but this seems so much easier and cheaper. The only thing im wondering ive been into dsm's for around 3 years now and just recently this swap has seem to become popular.I s there some hidden problems that lie in the swap plus it doesnt seem that too many of the big name dsm racers have done this and you would think it would be to there advantage. If anyone has done this in there 1g id like to hear from you and the pros and cons of the swap.Im going to call tym switzer at buschur racing to find out if ill be getting myself into trouble doing this.any reply will be greatly appreciated

just got my block back from the machine shop yesterday.got a 6 bolt from a hyundai, im useing wisecos and eagles.put the super hog to the exhaust ports and cleaned up the intakes hoping its going to idle with some 272 cams.as far as problems i cant find any other than the the top mount being a little off, just going to measure the difference and have the side mount machined down.np.should spool a huge turbo like a pinwheel.youll find some negative talk on the lost rod ratio from a 63 but in my opinion you dont want much piston dewell in a high boost pump fuel running engine.other than the motor mount it all bolts up.
