For those looking for an ultimate duty rod, check this option out:

I've been on the hunt for a good rod for my next 2.3 build. Given the clearance challenges of an aluminum rod stroker I was looking for a steel rod. I'd almost settled on a set of K1s when I found these R&Rs. Thank You Myles at English Racing for pointing me in this direction. R&R makes these custom for English Racing, they come in 6 & 7 bolt 150mm & 156mm I'm sure they can have other options built as well. The ER crew has run these rods over 680ftlbs of torque with no issues.

For Comparison, a 150mm TurboTuff:

Do happen to know if they come in 22mm wrist pin for the 6 bolt? I am assuming its just as easy as telling them you want a set with 22mm wrist pins, assuming thats what you meant when you said, I am sure there are other options.

Yes, the 22mm pin 6bolt is available. Give Myles a call and he can hook you up.

Awesome thanks, I did see these as an option when I was shopping for 2.3 rods. Ill give him a call tomorrow to get myself a quote.

These rods are on MAPerformance website. Another option I was looking at was MAP heavy duty billet steel rods they have. Reasonably priced and coming in at 625 grams a rod, I know they weigh more, but less than Manley. Did you happen to see these rods? consider them? Just curious and brainstorming

I just got done emailing MAP about them, they told me they were on 6 week back order, and just removed them from the sight. :|

I've been reving my eagle rod 2.3 out to 88-8900rpm through the traps and wanted some piece of mind by going to the lightest/strongest rod possible. The H beam K1s were my only other option.

If I remember right, the R&R rod that MAP sells is an 'H' beam rod.
