Im building a motor and im not sure what head studs to go with:confused::confused:..I know boost levels on c16 will be about 35psi or more so I defenity will not be going with a standard arp..Choice"s are arp L19"s,map A11's, or magnus HD's..

Plenty of people made great power on standard ARP head studs. But anywho, either one of those choices will work just fine.

They always work until they fail...

I went with the L19's and it's definitely great to have the piece of mind.

You mean the car you bought had them already, right?

English Racing recommends 6 bolt ARP's for 6bolt block/7bolt head builds unless you just want to plunk down the cash. They stand by their head surfacing techniques.

If you have the cash and are planning on a wild build then by all means go big.

Pretty sure I purchased and installed the L19's when I did the HG job.

What turbo are you planning on running? More than likely, standard ARP's and a composite gasket are more than adaquate. 35psi alone won't put a gasket out, detonation will.

I've been well over 35psi on standard ARP's and a felpro composite.

I'm pretty sure you'll deform the head before you'll stretch standard ARP's.
