So after my alternator wet bad on my car and I replaced it something on the timing belt side started vibrating and my oil pressure was very low, 10psi at idle and not much higher when driving. Something on that side is leaking slowly(small puddle on my garage floor.) I popped the upper timing cover off and saw inside that the timing belt looks like it rubbing on the cover.

I checked the oil and it looks completely fine. So I don't think it's the headgasket. My coolant light is on though. And I'm not sure if it's related but when I make a hard right, not left, turn the car will shut off.

Until I take the cover completely off is there a pully that's known for going bad around 100k?

Thanks:thumb:

do you know if the water pump has been replace recently? that can cause vibrations and low coolant levels. And for the oil check the oil filter areas for leaks.

Ya actually it was, I bought it and the guy said he just replaced the timing belt and the water pump, he had receipts to show. I bought it and drove it back to my house some 210 miles away with no problems until a couple weeks later. But when you say the water pump could cause vibrations do you mean a defective water pump or what? Excuse my ignorance.

And for the oil filter I had an issue with the oil filter bolt(the big 24mm one) came loose and I lost most of my oil when driving. I tightened it back into place and put on a new oil cooler o-ring but no more oil leaks out of it.
