The posts that searching is coming up with are too vague or just a bunch of wanna-be experts. So I need a question answered.

I have a mint 97 4G64 crank. I am looking to buy a 98+ 4G64 block so I can use split thrust bearings. Will the 97 crank work or do I need a crank that is 98+ as well?

It's a newb question, but this is my first time building a 2.4L and I have only owned 98 to 99 4G63s as far as the ones I have taken apart.
