1G-specific rod bearing install

me and a buddy of mine had a slight disagreement in rod bearing install.
should the little tabs on the bearings be on the same side of rod or should they be on the oppsite side of the caps?

or opposite side at an angle? any help or a link would be nice
or dont realy matter as long as the snap in to place?

The tabs go into the slots in the rods and rod caps.
