Took my head to the machine shop. told them to do Guides, stem seals, re grind valves, re machine head surface, basically a reman head. got it back and all installed works fine. I noticed this morning that if i let the car idle for about 5 mins, it'll start smoking like a champ. and i mean mega smoke. a friggin cloud. Otherwise no smoke, after i pull off it will stop. This is a brand new rebuilt head too!! Any suggestions? should i run a leakdown to see if my new seals are bad? the car NEVER smoked like this at idle.... now it does...WTF?!?!? If i have to pull this whole car apart AGAIN i'm gonna be pissed. Any way to get the seals out without taking all the pullies off? like suspend the cam gears and remove the cams? Any suggestions? I'm gonna take the car to the shop and see what they say. this is bull

BTW, its a 7 bolt head on a 6 bolt block with ARP head studs. New gaskets all around. and no oil leaks around the head

This problem messed with me until today. When I realized I didn't put sealer on my middle bottom row exhaust mani stud. Oil was just runnin down it on to my manifold right where I can't see it. LOL

Viola!
