OK To Spin Oil Pump While T-belt Off?

T-belt, BS belt, all timing components are off. Before I start putting everything back on I would like to use a drill on the oil pump to generate some oil pressure to help pinpoint an oil leak. Is it ok to do this with the belts off? Or will doing that screw something up?
 
Shouldnt be any problems at all,If you still have the B/S's in just, remember to put it back in the correct position.

Would this oil leak be coming from behind the oil pump sprocket?

As far as I can tell it's not from the oil pump sprocket. But under the lower cover was such a huge mess (oil, grease, coolant from weep hole of water pump, etc) that it's hard to pinpoint. Before starting the T-belt job I put UV dye in the oil. There is a leak at the oil pan gasket. But there is some dye higher than that too, I'm just not sure of the source. There was some dye dripping off the bottom of the auto tensioner. The 2 tensioner bolts have no dye on them though. Cam seals look dry.

I want to clean everything up with brake cleaner, then circulate the oil (oil/dye is still in motor) and look again.
 
Pressurizing the system should not present a problem. Remember however when you re-install the timing belt that you synchronize the rear balance shaft. Also, replace all the shaft seals. These can be a real hassle later if you forget to replace one of them.

another place to check is the oil pump cover plate, its visible on the front case it has a rubber o-ring under it and that o-ring will harden and create a huge oil leak, autozone has a special tool to remove it or you can tap it with a hammer directly to the face, then use a pair of pliers or a screw driver to unscrew the cap.
