My friend was having problems installing the C-clips on my pistons today. It was too late to call Wiesco directly, I will do it tomorrow asap. I just wanted to see if anyone has heard of similar problems. I was 100% sure that the kit i bought, #K560M85,is correct (standard bore, @9:1)

It seems the fitment on either the pistons, the pin, or the c-clip is wrong. The C-clip on one side installs fine. On the other side of the pin, the clip will not go in. There isn't enough room left by the pin.

Is there a special tool/technique to install the other c-clip? My friend has only installed Ross pistons before, they use Spiral Lox. We used a few different pins and clips from the kit, nothing seemed to work. There C-clip was not going into the groove. Could the piston be bad (narrow clip land)? Maybe the pins are too long. (should I have them slightly machined?)

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Did you try putting one end into the opening on the slot and twisting it in, try a socket. don't compress them and try to force them in.

Try using a socket a little smaller then the journal for the wrist pin, about the size of the pin, put one end in the piston and the other inside the socket and twist the socket if you understand, I'm bad at describing things.
