Well I did not even know it was smoking until tonight when I was installing my new fp manifold and the other mani I took off had oil all over it where it meets the head. The gasket also had oil on it. When I put the new manifold on i noticed when I would rev it up it would puff some smoke. Did a compression test and got 150 across. So does this mean my valve seals are toasted. Also I just installed some bc 272 cams couple weeks ago and I thought compression goes down when you install cams but mine stayed the same. Thanks for any help.
Nobody has a clue. Also another note I just had my turbo rebuilt but it was so bad that even fully rebuilt it has some play. Could bad turbo seals let oil get up into the exhaust manifold,I did not think so that is why I was leaning towards valve seals.
I just went and tested it again and I used my stutterbox and it did not blow any smoke until it was on the downfall and then it would smoke a bit. It seems to do it on decel rather than boosting. I checked the turbo and there is quit a bit of play but it still boosts 20+ psi.
