Upgrade pulleys or no?

Ok so im in the middle of a full 6bolt swap on my 2G. I want to know if i should just upgrade the pulleys or not. I have read that pulleys aren't that good of an upgrade but then i have read the total opposite :S. Seeking advice from anyone with experience.

If you are going to put any kind of Aftermarket pulley on the crank use only a fluiddamper brand crank pulley.

Because they are not harmonic dampers. Harmonic dampers are required to lessen the effects of rotational energy in the crank that if left unchecked could (will) result in cracking in the crank and damage to the bearings.

The question I have is what would be the benifit from running the fluiddamper compared to the oem??
