I have a problem with my car burning oil can't figure out what it is.I just put a new motor in my car. Then my turbo took a crap and I changed out the turbo and car is still smoking bad. The car never smoked before the turbo went bad. I am thinking it might be valve guide seals. The turbo I put back on the car worked before I took it off the car. I am going to put a new head on my car before I do that I just wanted a little feed back before I did this. There was oil on top of the pistons. I did a compression test and the number were about the same arcoss the board. The video is of my car idling Any info would be great thanks ttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0A6-C2BhI1k[/URL]

How long have you run it? After the turbo let loose did you remove&clean the innercooler?

If the turbo let loose on the exhaust side it would coat the inside of the exhaust& cat. converter. The only way to clean it out is go out and drive it (smoke out your neighbersROFL) after it gets burned out it will stop.:thumb:

If it packed up on the inlet side odds are it filled the innercooler. As the engine would run it would be picking up oil out of the cooler and spreading it through the rest of the induction system. The only way to get rid of that is to flush the cooler and flush all the lines.

If it's a fresh engine the odds are somthing in the head or block would damm near be nill.

I cleaned out the intercooler there wasn't much oil in.I have no cat on my car. The head is a used. The bottom end was rebuilt. There was oil in my turbo manifold took of car and cleaned it and oil in the o2 housing and down pipe. It smokes really bad when you give it gas so. That why I want to put a new head the car. Thanks for the info.

I just pulled the head off my car because it was burning oil really bad. When I pulled the head off there was oil on top of cylinder #2 there was about a tablespoon full of oil on it. Also there was oil on the other cylinders also but not that much. My bottom end has only 120 miles on it and it didn't smoke when I first ran the motor. It started smoking when my turbo went bad. Any info would be great.
