Hello everyone! I just purchased my very first dsm turbo yesterday. I had a 96gs when I was 16. I am quickly falling in love with this gst. I knew there was problems with it when I bought it. I found an oil seepage coming from the front side of the engine. The oil looks fresh. I am not sure whether it is a head gasket problem or not. I know on my Durango I used to have had a similar looking leak coming from the valve covers. When I went to take the bolt off of them they were loose. So I am wondering if I might have this same loose bolt problem with the head bolts on my gst. If anyone has any suggestions I would be glad to listen. Thank!

My suggestion would be to clean the oil off as best you can an drive it for 30 mins or so an look to see if that helps you figure out where it's coming from. It could be the valve cover, the exhaust manifold, the head gasket. There's oil lines going to an from turbo also. I spent couple days cleaning my engin bay an not only is it nice to look at but much better to work on... good luck hope I have been some help.
