I've got Eclipse GS 1997 European model with 4g63 non turbo engine and I've been thinking of adding TSI Superior/Extreme Turbo Kit (from Prostreetonline.com) to it. So I just want to know is that kit familiar to anyone?

All I want is to add more power (30-40% increase is enough to get
180-200hp) safely to my 4g63 non turbo engine without doing much work. Do I need stronger parts inside the engine, stonger clutch etc?

2G Eclipse GS-T's are very rare at the Europe, and those few are not for
sale. That's why I bought GS, because I thought that 4g63 nt engine is
easily to be converted to turbo.

I'm not going to install those parts myself, I leave that work for experts. That's why I need some advices before doing anything stupid... :)

It seems that this kit is not familiar to anyone...

But can I add any turbokit without doing any other modifications to the engine?

Are 4g63 and 4g63t engines identical inside?

no, the non turbo 4g63 have a much higher compression ratio and there are differences in the cams. There might be more differences but those are the only two that i am positive about.

If you have an NT 4G63 there, you're probably better off just getting a 4G63T block and building it up OR getting an engine from somewhere around there and dropping it in. You'd need a Turbo ECU as well as some other odds N' ends, but you are in better shape than the US 2G NT's... :thumb:

If I just bolt that kit without doing any other modifications? I need opinions and advices from those who have done it. Maybe I should put new cams and pistons with lower compression.

Is Turbo ECU necessary, because there is ECU tuning chips available?

I would be satisfied of getting 60-70hp more power...
