1g exhaust manifold on a 2g?

i have a friend that has a 1g and i have a 2g.. i know my exhaust mani is a upgrade for his.. and i know his intake is an upgrade for mine... he is willing to trade me a 1g intake mani for my 2g exhaust mani.. he will also give me his 1g exhaust mani so i can use it.. will this be hurting me? or will the 1g exhaust mani even work on my 2g...

if u want his intake mani, you might as well take this head because it wont do squat on the stock 2g head. Oh and throttle body.

I wouldn't do it because the 1g exhaust manifolds crack VERY easily.

Just get a darkside head and a sheet metal intake. Problem solved

Think of it this way, if the 2G exhaust manifold is an upgrade for him over his 1G exhaust manifold, then why would you want to replace the better 2G?

but your still going backwards. not only did you step down to a 1g mani, but you are taking an even bigger one by bolting a 1g intake mani to a 2g head and 2g TB.
