As I'm only really planning on upgrading my T25 turbo to a Super 16 or Big 28, I've come to the conclusion that I've no need for a full 3" exhaust or external wastegate.

Does anyone here have any recommendations for a full (dp, cat, cat-back) 2.5" system? So far I've only been able to contact Buschur Racing, and they don't offer a 2.5" cat-back in stainless steel. Stainless steel is a must as this will be a winter-driven car and well used.

I have no problems with the idea of mixing and matching companies components, as long as I know what flanges/adapters/bolts will be needed to do so and the respective companies usually refuse to divulge this information even tho it still means profit for them :p

TIA

P.S. If you have any comments on my decision to go 2.5" don't hesitate to post them or email me. I wanna do this right.

My opinion is to go full 3inch. You may only want a 16g now but later that will change(it always does) So you want to do it right the first time and a 3inch all the way back.

I personally think that unless you're planning on running 11s or better, a 2.5" is good enough. Extreme Turbo (aka, DSM Performance) makes some really nice looking turbo-back stainless systems, but to me seem pricey. I also think they only offer stainless in a 3".

RnR Racing has stainless (2.5" and 3") turbo-backs as well-- I have their 2.5" aluminized O2 eliminator system-- no problems so far with it. If I had it to do over, I'd go stainless next time.

Thanks for the responses thus far, I appreciate it.

Does anyone know of a company that makes a full 2.5" SS exhaust?

In case I want to just get it all done at once with one company.

Yeah, the one I just mentioned-- RnR Racing. $600 for a standard turbo-back in SS, $650 for an O2 Eliminator turbo-back in SS. Add $50 more for a SS straight-through muffler (looks similar to an Apexi N1 muffler). I highly recommend the O2 Eliminator option.

Ya, I just tossed an email to ryan at rnr last night, awaiting a response as their shop number never seems to get answered. Their prices look awesome, and they'd be my next pick assuming they can provide a 2.5" cat instead of just a test pipe ... this thing needs to be street legal. If they don't offer one I just might end up buying one from another company and ducttaping it on there myself :p Since no companies will ever give instructions on mixing and matching and I'm an exhaust n00b.

Arg!

They do sell the 2 1/2" high flow cats for $100. I ordered a 2 1/2" O2 Elim and 2 1/2" high flow cat on Monday from them; havent heard from them yet. And they never answer the phone.

Ryan posted to a few threads (either here or at DSMTalk, I don't remember) saying that they were experiencing e-mail problems. That was a week or two ago, so hopefully they're fixed by now.
