I get readings that VFAQ describes as normal, here they are:
idle: fluctuates up and down
decel: Lean, then up and down
cruising: up and down
Hard accel: Riching up, with slowly going almost all the way up to rich as rpmms rise.

Well here's my concern: Am I really running that rich at high throttle ?
Is the 'stoich' reading what I should aim for at high throttle ?

I have SAFC to play with.

Will I see leaner mixture with T04 I'm about to install? How lean is acceptable ?

I'm running stock fuel injectors and stock pump so far.

thanks.

nope, not yet, as there is not need for it yet. I will do replace the pump when installing myT04.

but how can contribute to mu situation ? If I didn't have enough fuel supplu, wouldn't that push me towards lean ?

If you're talking about the Autometer blinky back-and-forth gauge, it's not useful for tuning really.

You'll want to get a gauge that shows an accurate readout of the AF ratio..

When you are cruising, it should blink back and forth. When you step on it, it should go rich, like it does.

It goes to rich because when your punching it the computer puts more fuel into the motor to compensate with the air. It adds more fuel to run Rich to prevent predetonation. You get the most HP when your Run Lean but you can also get predetonation from runing lean. IF you runing you car at stock settings it won't run lean unless you lean the motor out manually or with a different ECU. I don't know if you can lean it from SAFC. But i heard bad things about the SAFC anyway. I wouldn't trust it. The air fuel will constantly bounce around because your engine is always working. You never get a perfect mixture because there is no such thing, your always going to be a little rich, or a little lean, incase you haven't noticed that on your A/F guage. And it has been mentioned that the guage will never be 100% accurate as well.

Enigma Man,
I just want to make sure I understand you correctly, Your saying that an A/F ratio is basically a waste of money right? It's not worth getting to tune off of correct?

I have heard that an Exhaust Temp guage or Exhaust PSI(is there even an exhaust PSI guage?) Is the best way to go. You can hook up a computer to it get all sorts of read outs and tune your motor from there(via the timing).

Thanks huys, I've already ordered EGT gauge.
It was just surprizing to me to see it run THAT rich. Obviously I did expect to get richer wOT, but not all the way.

If not SAFC, how else would you lean the engine out ?
