BOV's and MAF how to get them to cooperate?

Hello,

I am new here and not really as fortunate to drive a Turbo eclipse. I have an American Car(no flames please!) and am interested in turbocharging it. I am also registered at a Grand Am forum(yes I have a grand am, and no it is by no means as fast as a turbo eclise, many props and respect goes to you people for what your cars are capable of!). Anyways as I as mentioning. There is a huge debate I am fighting at the Grand Am forum about how to get a MAF and a Turbo system to function correctly with one another. I then found out that the 2nd Gen Eclipse has an MAF sensor on it. I would greatly appreciate some help if someone could explain to me how to use a BOV in conjunction with the MAF. From my understanding, if you have an MAF and a BOV on a turbo system, and the air from the compressor passes through the MAF. And the TB closes and the excess air is pushed out of the BOV. Then the engine will run Rich because all the air that passed through the MAF that is forced out of the BOV is not going into the engine. Or am I way off on this?
Thanks in advance for the help!

What you said is correct but you only run rich if you don't have a tube going back into the intake from the BOV. This is DSM only since I have no idea how a Grand-AM MAF functions.

Thanks for the fast response. I doubt the GM MAF can handle this job considering the Grand Am is designed to Haul Groceries around in. The car that the idea was proposed for is a 1999+ Generation. That Generation of Grand Am's has an MAF on both 4 cylinder and V6 motor. My motor is a 1995 Quad and I am lucky enough not to have an MAF. So hopefully my Turbo Upgrade will run a lot smoother. Thanks again! I am sure I will be asking ?'s here every so often now. It's always best to get a response from someone with experience!

-It's not the MAF but it's the ECU that control the air/fuel mixture, because the ECU anticipate the air being recirculate back into the system as the BOV's open, so send for the pre-programed amount of fuel, a MAF of a 95-99 can be used in a 91-94 provided you use a SAFC to trick the ECU into seeing otherwise. I'm no sure if a SAFC can be use on the Gran-Am or not, but some Saturn site did talk about it & have instruction on how to hook one up.
