I am wondering if I should buy it, I got a reasonable offer to buy a used one w/ 7k miles on it for $600. I have good supporting mods and was wondering what kind of feed back I could get. Any track times? How does it pull? Any regrets? Any and as much info as you can provide would be great. So I can make a relatively informed decision.

Also if it has .01" shaft play is that OK?

ANy help would be great.

keep in mind that if you get this 600 used turbo. You will need a wastegate manifold o2 housing and oil lines. or you can get a 100% bolt on PTE 50 trim with 38mm internal gate that requires no additional parts to run on your car. The quickest time i have seen so far is from a guy that post here. he went 11.2@126 (i think) using this same turbo.

If you are looking for a safe deal on a PTE 50 trim with zero miles on it. I may have what you are looking for.

How well does the internal gate on those pte turbos work on controlling low boost? Say like about 12-15 psi to redline. I'm thinking about a bolt on 50 trim or a rnr racing 50 trim. What would you recommend and why.

If your intentions are to run 12-15 psi then my suggestion is a rebuilt 14B. To run a 50 trim at that boost level is pointless. However if you absolutely must run 15 psi the 38 mm internal gate well handle that boost level with ease.

Well it would be more for running it til I got more supporting mods (ie fmic, arp headstuds, etc.). I would get most of the supporting mods but there's a few I would wait on probably. So do you think it is worth it to go full garrett from rnr (50 trim) or should I save 500 (about that much) and just go the PTE way.

Do these turbos bolt up to a 2g manifold? How much power over a stock T25 will it yield?

Appreciate it...
