Boost gauge and MBC

Ok... im putting a home made MBC in my car and a Auto Meter Boost gauge, i was thinking, (sorry Im a N00b : ) ) I should connect the boost gauge between the MBC and the wastegate, not after right?

Also, i bought a AutoMeter boost gauge that reads 35 psi and no vacum, I should connect it to the vacum hose to (and isn't that the same place that I put the MBC?).

I could be talking pure bullshit with this and i forgive if that's anything.... Im new with that, and is there any Url that gives step to step instructions, to do both of those things.

I forgot.... how do you measure the boost, after the MBC install, i dont think you just start the car and begin to drive with the same boost as usual and then screw to make more boost, .... right

well, first of all, the place to tap you boost gauge to is right next to your right strut tower. You will see 3 solenoids there on the firewall with tubing going back to the engine (in '91 models its right next to AC fuse box, but '90 could be a bit different).

WHat you need is the middle one (if I recall) just to be sure, see where the tube from it leads to. They one you need would lead to the center of the intake manifold.

Once you find that solenoid, if you look under it, you will see another tube comming out of it, that's the one you need to tap. If you look carefully, you will see that tube is already cut and coupled. Take that coupler out and insert a T connector. Then just run the tubing from the free end of T connector inside through the firewall to your gauge.

As for the mbc, the way I set it ( and I think the only way to set it) is to remove boost, drive it to make sure its off, and then increase it gradually. (make sure you look at gauge at WOT,that will be the peak of your boost) Obviously if you see boost climbing too high even at partial throttle, then stop and readjust it, don't push your luck.
