Apexi N1 is the way to go! take off the cat and get ready for one of the best sounding exhaust systems around!only my 2 cents.

ya the n1 is the best sounding exhaust i think, it is such a low tone, put yourself a dp and test pipe and it sounds great. then if you want an even better sound get some cams LOL :thumb:

I was thinking maybe a RNR o2 elim. down pipe with no cat and flared out to fit a Thermal R&D. Thoughts? Its alot of money though...

Let me be a little more specific about my statement above.

I was thinking about a 2.5 inch RNR 02 eliminator down pipe with a test pipe (straight pipe) and a 3 inch Thermal catback. The Thermal is supposed to be 3 inch and neck down to 2.5 so it can be a direct bolt on. So it would be a 2.5 inch exhaust all the way back to the end of the cat or lack there of, then open up to a 3 inch. I think this would sound great and give decent performance. Anyone care to correct me or discuss?

Sounds like a sick combo.

My 2 cents, apexi n1 downpipe (no need for test pipe since it eliminates the entire mid-section). Apexi n1 cat back. And if need be get your 2.5 inch o2 sensor housing with or without 02 sensor housing. I would say with though. This way you would have 2.5 from turbo to flex section then 3 inch all the way to very last section where the Apexi n1 piping actually enlarges to something like 3.3 inch! If you did all three you would have a very noticeable performance gain not to mention it sounds bad ass! I have N1 downpipe and exhaust. Love it to death. Just need o2 sensor housing to complete the sys. Hope this helps! :dsm:

You can get a custom 3" Mandrel bent exhaust for much cheaper than any pre-fab system. Then just buy whatever muffler you want and have that welded on to your custom piping.

anyone know how the hks cf exhaust sounds, performs and looks in person, i could get one for 400 and just wondering about it

Oval Mufflers = Amost all sound the same (depending on resonators and piping diameter)

Canister designed mufflers = Almost all sound the same (depending on resonators and piping diameter)

How do you guys think a 2.5 inch exhaust that opens to a 3 inch would perform? Better perhaps than a full 2.5?
