Upgraded SMIC's?

Anyone here running an upgraded SMIC such as HRC, IRC, Alamo, Supra, etc? What turbo are you using with it? I'm looking to run a big 16G and I have the chance to get a Alamo SMIC for cheap and I'm strongly considering it. The reason I want a SMIC is because I'm going for the sleeper look. I'm also going to be using a nitrous spray on the IC. I thought about getting a black IRC FMIC, but I'd really like to go with a SMIC. Thanks for the input guys.

Stay the hell away from Alamo SMICs.... I gained .3 in the 1/4 by taking my alamo OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The damn core design is so $hitty that air cannot flow through and cool at the same time --- it SUCKS... also is HELLA heavy

I used an alamo sidemount years ago in my "slow" days. I had a small 16g and a 2 1/2" pressbent exhaust. I used to run consistant 12.5's even on pump gas. It seemed to work well for me.

I had an AMS sidemount and felt a noticeable improvement with it. I never took it to the track, but the guy that bought it told me that he gained .8 with it vs. the stocker. This was the 1G model, of course.

i used to run a supra, and it was one of the best mods i had done, we also have a friend who made 370whp with one with some custom metal endtanks, she yes she ran a 12.3 at the shoot out, silver 1g talon. So yes they do work.

I can only imagine the IATs at the end of the track. Bet she could run a high 11 by switching to an intercooler that wont heat soak by the end of the 1/8th mile.
