I just got the GSX and have been looking at Downpipes, catbacks, test pipes, and 02 housings. My delemma is I'm not sure what size I should go with. I was think of doing 3" on everything but then I heard if you go that big on the 02 sensor and downpipe you loose room in your engine bay. I have also been told that a 2.5 inch downpipe and 02 sensor are the best cause the exhaust gases are hotter there and don't expand until it reaches the catback area. I am also looking into different catbacks. I want one with a dual tipe like stock but can't find that. Should I get a 3" or 2.5"? is the 3" that much better? If I get a 3" DP will it still bolt up to a 2.5" O2 housing? What are the best ones and great prices? Thanks guys!

There's no room in our engine bay to begin with, so it won't really matter. The closer to the exhaust manifold the cat is, the better. Sure the gas expanded, but its still as hot in that confined space.

With forced induction, you want bigger rather than smaller. I have a 3" and it bolts up to the stock O2 housing for now. You could also get an eliminator which makes the housing part of the DP. I bought mine from RnR, so I dont know if any other will match up.

Also, try to avoid bigger-to-smaller. It allows the gas to expand and then causes a molecular traffic jam when youre trying to stuff it back into a smaller cat.

We have our 3" 02 elim Tb on sale right now. There are absolutely no restrictions and it fits perfect. Also it leaves you plenty of room in the engine compartment to do oil changes, etc.

Let me know if there are any other questions. www.rnrracing.com

Perhaps a dumb question but, does your turbo back exhaust come with a test with a cat or with out. If it comes with out do i need to purchase a test pipe for that or is it compesated for. I see that youu can order a DP that replaces the cat but is that the piece you get with the turbo back. I just bought an 1G AWD and I live in a place that doesn't require emmisions so I don't want a cat.
