I got the data logging software here on a laptop for our dsm cars !! But wont need this for my car anymore cause i bougt a vr4 i wonder will this software work on my new car?? Do u guys think it will?? i have a funny feeling that it wil!!! Wha tdo u guys say???

1997 is OBD-II , if your software is for pre-1996 vehicles it will not work.

Ah #### so its no good that blows what the software worth?? Its on the laptop i will sell the whole thing i was thinking like 500$

Software for pre OBDII vehicles is not compatable with OBDII vehicles regardless of the cable.So unless the software is for obdII , just changing the cable will NOT work.

Ok this isnt related to happy original post but my father just bought this OBD-II software from the ssite obd-2.com for his 1997 pontiac. He got it with the connector for his car and it says also for mitsu/eagle. Since my car is a 1995 Eagle Talon ESI would that work? I know obd 2 is like 1996 on but i hear people say they use obd 2 loggers on 95 eclipses so im not sure. Im in the process of building a cap computer and i really want the digital dash software with the guages etc so any help would be appreciated.

All OBDII vehicles have the same J1962 connector, regardless of who manufactures the vehicle.Some pre 1996 vehicles are OBDII compliant, so its possible 1995 Talon is OBDII(I don't know for sure).If the OBDII plug fits it will more than likely work.

I could have sold it 5 times over !!
I may as well just sell it and get the right stuff for my 3000gt!
By the way just curious if i had the software for a 96+ eclipse turbo would i t work on the vr4 do u think????

Software for pre OBDII vehicles will NOT work on OBDII vehicles regardless of the cable.Yes , 96+ eclipse software will work on a 97 VR4.
