Well heres the scoop:
Going to build a custom exhaust:
My car has like 104,000 and it's not the strurdiest GST ever, i should have checked it better but suspension is pretty bad. Thing is i don't want this car breaking on me so i'll be doing just bolt-on's and S-AFC, i already have a 14b on it and a fuel pump.

My goal is a fast car that can keep up with a few, high 13's and mid 13's would be my furthest goal( in this car)

I will be buying or making the downpipe here in a muffler shop, i will be using a high-flow cat(have no cat now and it smells awful) and a magnaflow straight-trough muffler with stock looking double tips.

My question, regarding the info provided before and the fact that i won't be passing from my 14b(if it dies maybe a 16g).

The 64,000 cent question:
What size exhaust should i get?

I mean i won't be going bigger in the future yada yada, if i do get a newer eclipse in great shape i will( considering SRT-4 tough).

I will go to the strip once every 3 months if none(i don't like beating the crap out of my car), my car is my daily college car, i do race a few people from a roll now and then so i don't really desire high-end torque wich i've been told 3" give you.

Anyways please help me choose i don't mind the noise, what i want is the most power, and i need to combine my exhaust well with my turbo.

Also if you did read it all, can i put the cat after the downpipe eliminates it? I mean most aftermarket downpipes eliminate the cat, can i put it afterwards? and then do the cat-back, will this cause any trouble? do you understand what i mean?

Thanks

I would recommend a 2.5 inch downpipe w/ a 3 inch test pipe and cat back exhaust. I would recommend some sort of new tube style O2 housing as well ( or an Evo III housing ). Sounds like you are going to save some money if you have it done yourself at a shop. Exhaust size is about as popular as flaming Hondas and talking about sick turbos, so you might get alot of opinions. This is just mine. :D

Well you have some miles on the car and if the turbo has never been replaced looks like that time may come soon. From what you said if the turbo does go you would look into a 16G. With that said go ahead and do the 3" front to back (turbo back), otherwise you'll be doing this later with the 16G. If your happy with the little T25 then the 2.5" will do just fine at the downpipe and just go 3" to the back as Race94 said. - Thats my .02 cents.

I already have a 14b on my car, if it goes rebuilding it cost $200 so i'll probably stick with it.

Does anyone know if i can put the cat after the pipe that eliminates it in aftermarket downpipes?

Just get a downpipe that does not extend to eliminate the cat.

If your making the DP yourself why eliminate the cat section, Just don’t extend it that far? There is quite a few shops that will make you the DP with a high flow cat and an O2 eliminator with stainless steel, look into that. Here’s some good advice. Go to the search section and search for these items. Like "downpipe" or "down pipe" and "O2 Eliminator" there’s tons of info already discussed, more stuff then I could tell you or recommend to you. Look into some turbo back systems already fabricated. Good luck with the mods!!!:thumb:
