I am about rebuild my 6bolt engine. I will be using stock 1g pistons. Is there a certain brand of rings that preferred over mitsu?

I almost always use Mitsu rings. They are very good. You could try Total Seal to save a tiny bit of compression.

Piece of cake - you don't need an expander or anything - trickiest thing is the "notch" at the edge of the 2nd ring that has to go on the down siode - I never could see it - but I could feel it.
