hey fellas i need some advise im going to purchase a wastegate but i cant decide whether to buy the wastegate on the manifold combo or get the o2 housing w/dump and a wastegate combo.whitch one do you reccomend i already have a evo 3 manifold.whats better?whats the best wastegate im planning to upgrade to either a 50 trim or a 20g,i know its either a tail 40mm or a tail 34mm. or do you reccomend just buying the o2 housing and the wastegate seperatly or just buy the o2 housing w/dump for right now?i heard that the wastegate on the o2 housing is better because on the manifold its only running on 1 cilynder right?whats the best place to buy these products?thanks for all the help fellas!

Gate on manifold is cheaper. Gate on O2 should offer better boost control. A Tial 38mm (the smallest they make now) will suffice for either turbo, assuming the WG hole on the turbo is ported out large enough. Best place to buy em is the place that has teh cheapest prices. Be careful tho. MOst places that sell the 38mm Tial, don't include flanges. That's another $10/ea x 2 flanges.

I agree with NOSLO. I have a 38mm on a turbonetics high flow manifold. It is loud and not very cool sounding. Makes a BWAAAAANT sound. I would definately suggest spend a little more and get the O2 eliminator that routes it back in the exhaust. I have a 20g and a Tial 38mm with an 8lb spring. It holds boost at 12 psi with no boost controller. The Tial is very good and very large. Try ebay for the best prices. There are alot of new stuff and have never had a problem getting what I buy.

check dsmparts.com They have a o2 housing wastegate setup that routes it immediately back into the o2 housing. It doesnt come with the wastegate so some welding work would have to be done. Maybe they would do it for you. They also have a bunch of kick ass tubular manifolds some come with external wg mounts.
