My mechanic is putting my motor back together and he said that my 1G rods won't fit my crank without machining. Everyone here has said that it would but he actually showed me that it wouldn't. What do I do. I can't afford to go forged. I have two opions. I can go with shotpeened and polished 2G rods or machined 1G rods. I would like to have shotpeened and polished 1G rods but my financial situation won't allow that right now. How much horsepower can my 2G rods hold in stock condition and how much if they were shotpeened and polished. Also, answer the previous question but this time about 1G rods.

Look under my profile to see my mods if necessary.

I strongly suggest doing the machineing for the 1g rods, 2g rods are very small in the first place, although shot peening does help, its not worth the money you spend when you could have put normal 1g rods in it. I know this from personal experience. Its worth it
